The U.S. Interior Department has approved the country’s first large-scale offshore wind project Tuesday (May 11th 2021), which sets the stage for a major shift in the energy landscape leading into the global energy transition.
The $2.8 billion Vineyard Wind project, to be constructed just offshore from Massachusetts, will have a generation capacity of 800 MW, enough to power 400,000 homes on the East Coast United States which includes the world’s most powerful turbine with 13 MW capacity to generate 1.6m tons of reduction in carbon emissions per annum.
The Biden administration’s objective is to bring 30GW of offshore wind online by the year 2030.

Colonial Pipeline Update
The Colonial Pipeline is restarting pipeline operations, after a ransomware attack may 7th 2021 with no physical damage incurred.
Gas stations across the East Coast have been reporting empty pumps and long lines of consumers waiting to purchase fuel with limited quantities available. It will take days or possibly weeks to reach normal delivery levels on the denoted 5,500 mile line with its rated 2.5 mb/day volume.
While the supply crunch has been isolated to the East Coast, the national retail price has broken the $3.00/gallon ceiling for the first time since crude oil prices were above $100/bbl (2014).
It is believed that a longer outage would be required before significant price impact.

Energy Evolution will be a leader in the Energy Revolution
The energy transition is already underway, with renewables expected to overtake traditional energy as the largest source of energy, driven by electricity demand and government policies.
Join the energy revolution with Energy Evolution, providing you with the opportunity to take advantage of the energy volatility and invest in core energy assets across the global energy market that target substantial capital appreciation.
- After massive energy dislocations of the last few years, oil and gas prices have bottomed, and in our view, the recovery is starting.
- Lack of drilling leads to declining oil production, tightening oil supply and expected higher energy prices over the next 3 to 5 years.
- We expect oil prices to increase in 2021 and beyond as demand normalizes with the highest EPS growth supported by oil prices expected to be between US$60 – US$90 per barrel over the next 5 years.
- Global GDP growth expected to accelerate in 4th quarter 2021.
- From 2022 onwards, the emerging markets are expected to have an expanding energy system which will lead to exponential growth in overall energy consumption.
- Energy transition from conventional fossil fuels to renewable and alternative energy is underway worldwide.
- Skilled management and experience allows us to enhance investor returns while targeting dividends and options to cover inflation.
